Sometimes my designs become very literal... this table top picture frame, for example. The first glass that caught my eye was this wonderful sky blue, plum and amber blend. The design grew from there and flames quite literally spread upward! Shades of sky blue, plum and amber at their best! The straight edges of the frame are composed of an amber textured glass.
The photo area measures 5" x 7". The glass does swoop into the frame area so your image can to be trimmed so as to not peak thru the glass depending upon the darkness of your image. The photo pictured was trimmed. The frame back is trimmed to fit and can be used as a template for you photograph. The frame measures 7.5" by 10" at its widest points.
The frame is constructed using the copper foil method of stained glass construction. The solder is left in it's natural silvery tone and polished to a shine. The frame back is sturdy, heavy black cardboard, held in place by lengths of zinc came firmly soldered to the back of the frame.
