Thhis large 15" dia glass bowl is composed of two layers of cyan and clear glass respectively, and then adorned with sunflower wafers that were fused into the belly of the bowl. The flowers were created with a method called wafer printing, which involves intricate sifting of glass powders into a template, then fusing the thin structures in a tack fuse before adding them to the solid glass base. It creates a realistic, yet painterly appearance of of a freshly picked bunch of sunflowers that will adorn anmy dinner table. This functiional piece is also fun to display as is. With good care, this food-safe bowl will serve you for years to come, both in function and as a one-of-a-kind piece of glass art.

Hand wash preferred. Not suitable for use in oven or microwave due to danger of thermal shock.
