Jill Tarabar

Jill TarabarA self-taught artist and native of Bucks County, Jill Tarabar’s fascination with the art of stained glass creation began in the early 1980’s. She continued honing her skills as she participated in regional juried art fairs and developed wholesale connections along the east coast. A twenty-year long “break” allowed her to develop graphic design and marketing skills while working full time in marketing. For the past two years, she has been able to focus on stained glass almost exclusively, participating in regional fine arts and craft shows and festivals. She also teaches a beginner stained glass course at the Art Center at Ambler.

Jill often pushes the boundaries & ignores the “rules.”  Mixing a variety of clear textured glass with bevels and found objects, she’s inspired by nature, spirituality and Judaica.  Much of her work consists of functional gift items such as jewelry boxes, Menorahs & Mezuzot. Also an avid knitter, she discovered the art of knitting with wire and is exploring the medium as a way to combine knitting with stained glass.

A juried and board member of the Bucks County Guild of Craftsmen and award winning artist, Jill presented a one woman display of stained glass Chanukah Menorahs at Visit Bucks County during the 2019 holiday season.
