Colorful amanita mushrooms are needle felted on 100% ivory wool background with a mossy foreground. Framed in a 9" hoop with a loop hanger.
Needle felting is a totally dry process in which loose, dyed wool fibers are repeatedly stabbed into a background using special small barbed needles. The constant movement tangles the fibers firmly into position. Framed without glass to enhance the texture, it requires no special care -- simply an occasional flick of a microfiber duster.
