hand needle felted painting

Waterfall cascading over variegated rock wall with bushes and evergreens. Several kinds of wool plus a touch of viscose were used to create this picture. Framed to about 9X12" with dustcover.
Needle felting is a totally dry process in which loose, dyed wool fibers are repeatedly stabbed into a background using special small barbed needles. The constant movement tangles the fibers firmly into position. Framed without glass to enhance the texture, it requires no special care -- simply an occasional flick of a microfiber duster.
