Kingfisher. Needle felted onto 100% linen, it is framed in an 8" hoop and has a loop for hanging. The hoop has been stained and the back is finished with heavy felt.
Needle felting is a totally dry process in which loose, dyed wool fibers are repeatedly stabbed into a background using special small barbed needles. The constant movement tangles the fibers firmly into position. It requires no special care -- simply an occasional flick of a feather or microfiber duster.
