"Harvest Fields" is a peaceful view of hay bales and distant hills in the bright, warm light and sharp shadows of late summer. Needled using a variety of wools, it is framed in brown (9x12) and has a completely finished back with dust cover and picture wire.
Needle felting is a totally dry process in which loose wool fibers are repeatedly stabbed into a background using special small barbed needles. The constant movement tangles the fibers firmly into position. Framed without glass to enhance the texture, it requires no special care -- simply an occasional flick of a microfiber duster.
