This hollow form has a classic vessel shape and is made from black cherry obtained from a neighbor's tree. The interplay between heartwood and sapwood is pleasing and makes you want to see the entire object. The collar gives it a little "dressed up" look to it. Finished with shellac and food safe waxes.
