Medium sized spalted sycamore bowl, finished with food safe oils and wax. Spalting is the first stage of decay of a dying tree and results in the irregular black lines that provide a graphic overlay to the grain patterns. This bowl has dark reddish heartwood in the bottom of the bowl and lighter sapwood around the sides.
